Remote Learning Notice

Select Y.A.L.E. Campuses Moving to 100% Remote Learning Beginning Monday, November 30, 2020

Dear Parents & Guardians:

Throughout the fall, Y.A.L.E. School has conscientiously adhered to the COVID-19 protocols required by state public health and education officials.  Despite these precautionary measures, a decision was made earlier today to switch to 100% remote learning at several of our campus locations.

The decision to do so was a difficult one requiring careful consideration of many factors including trends in counties where students and staff reside, holiday travel plans, staffing, and behavioral challenges that may require closer student/staff proximity.  Consequently, we will act with an abundance of caution by transitioning several programs to 100% remote learning as noted below.

Effective November 30, 2020, the following campuses will become 100% remote with an anticipated return on Monday, January 11, 2021.  100% remote hours are 8:45 am – 2:30 pm.

  • Y.A.L.E. School Cherry Hill
  • Y.A.L.E. School Ellisburg
  • Y.A.L.E. School Standard 9 at Camden County College
  • Y.A.L.E. School Standard 9 at Rowan College of Burlington County
  • Y.A.L.E. School CLiKS/Bridge Program at Y.A.L.E. Vocational Annex, Cherry Hill
  • Y.A.L.E. School Philadelphia
  • Y.A.L.E. School Mansion Ave., Audubon

At this time, the following campuses will continue to follow the hybrid model, with both in-person and remote learning options:

  • Y.A.L.E. School Evans, Marlton (Hours are 8:30 am – 1:00 pm)
  • Y.A.L.E. School Medford (Kirby’s Mill & Medford Memorial) (Hours are 9:00 am – 1:30 pm)
  • Y.A.L.E. School Northfield (Hours are 8:30 am – 1:00 pm)
  • Y.A.L.E. School Mullica Township (Hours are 8:30 am – 1:00 pm)
  • Y.A.L.E. School Project SEARCH at Jefferson Health (Hours are 8:30 am – 2:30 pm)

Y.A.L.E. will continue to monitor community health conditions and strive to make the best decisions possible with the information available in the coming weeks.  The status of this situation is fluid and our campus plans may need to be revised further based on state announcements or other considerations.

As always, we appreciate the support and cooperation of our Y.A.L.E. School family. We especially acknowledge your patience and understanding as we make these weighty decisions.  Should you have questions or concerns, or need technical support for remote learning, our homeroom teachers will direct your request to the individual on the Y.A.L.E. team that can best assist you.

We hope you and your family stay well over the holidays and find new opportunities and traditions to make the season a meaningful one.   We look forward to reuniting our staff and students as soon as safely possible.

Sincerely,
The Y.A.L.E. School Administrative Team
